The Annual Patricia Byrne Memorial Concert Series for organ and orchestra will begin on Tuesday, March 18 at 7 pm. This first concert will feature Ken Cowan from Rice University and 42 members of the Alabama Symphony performing exciting organ concertos by Josef Rheinberger and Joseph Jongen, and the hauntingly beautiful Adagio by Tomaso Albinoni.

The repertoire heard in these concerts is usually only heard in concert halls that contain a pipe organ large enough to be accompanied by an orchestra, i.e. Chicago, Philadelphia, etc. This unique series of concerts is presented as a gift to the city of Birmingham, and will feature our incredible Joseph W. Schreiber Memorial Organ and beautiful church. Come early to get a seat!

IPC's organ is given to the Glory of God and in loving memory of Joseph W Schreiber, who served Independent Presbyterian Church with excellence and dedication for 34 years.
