Congregational Events

  • Order by noon on Tuesdays and pickup on Wednesday in the Great Hall between 5:30 - 6:30 PM
    Place your order now and enjoy cooking by Kim in IPC's Kitchen which includes dinner (adult and children's options), family casseroles, and soup. Check out the many Wednesday night ministries around the church and find the group that best fits you!

  • Grace Groups offer IPC members an opportunity to get to know other members and study the scriptures in a small group setting. Groups meet in various places or via Zoom over six-weeks from February 19 - April 1. Our Spring study book is "Final Words from the Cross" by Adam Hamilton.

  • Monday Mornings 9:15-10:30am | Highland Hall Garage
    Looking for fellowship and a fun group of moms? In 2023, a Home for Faith will be studying Messy People by Jennifer Cowart.

  • IPC is hosting the week-long festival "God's Blessings in Color and Light" Jan. 29 - Feb. 5 " which includes lectures, concerts, and more. All events are free with the exception of the Monday lunch and the Thursday banquet which both require reservations.

  • IPC & Biblical Explorations invites you to Israel: Explore the Land of the Bible. This trip will be guided by Dr. Jeff Leonard & hosted by Rev. Susan Clayton. Interested? Complete the interest form and view trip brochure.

Children's Events

  • Wed Evenings 5:30pm | First Floor
    Grades 5k-6 are invited to join us for the Children's spring musical! Rehearsals will be on each Wednesday January 11-March 15 from 5:30 to 7:30pm on the first floor. Dinner is available to those who order.
    “What’s Up, Zak?,” is a fun and heartwarming exploration of the Bible story we all know and love. The familiar tale of Zacchaeus is relived as one rich but lonely tax collector casts his ego aside and climbs a tree for just one glimpse of Jesus.

  • Join us on February 4 in Highland Hall for a time of fellowship for parents with children 2 and under. There will be Crestline Bagel and coffee for the adults, and lots of toys for the littles! This event is for children and their parent(s).

  • Kids K-6 are invited to join us for hot chocolate and Bingo with members of the senior living community at Kirkwood by the River. Dropoff and Pickup is at Kirkwood by the River (3605 Ratliff Rd, Birmingham, AL 35210). The event lasts from 2:00-3:30 PM. Feel free to stay with your child or drop them off with us.

  • Enroll for the 2023-2024 school year at IPC's Day School. Fill out the online registration form to apply.

Youth Events

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Help serve water in front of the church and cheer for the Mercedes runners Sunday, Feb. 12.

  • Volunteer tutors are needed mornings and afternoons this spring for Stair, LIFT Off, and i3 Academy.

  • Provide and serve dinner for the women and children staying at First Light each night the week of February 5-11. Great activity for a family or group!

  • Help us to continue refilling our Blessing Boxes and Weekend Buddy Bags. Donations can be dropped off or sent via a delivery service Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm to IPC Community Ministries' entrance on 31st Street South, up from the covered walkway. You can sign up to bring items or consider making a monetary gift to assist IPC Food Ministiries.

  • Volunteers are needed to deliver Meals on Wheels in the Kingston neighborhood, where a significant part of IPC's local community outreach is focused. Interested volunteers should sign up directly with Meals on Wheels.
