IPC is targeting completion of the Columbarium addition by early summer. The expansion includes 256 additional niches with 192 double and 64 single niches. You may purchase a niche for yourself or a loved one starting May 5.

As part of our commitment to furthering our mission partners, the third Sunday of each month is now Moment for Mission Sunday. On May 21, Heart Gallery Alabama Executive Director Michelle Bearman-Wolnek joins us during the morning worship services.

Heart Gallery Alabama, a nonprofit organization, works to connect Alabama youth in foster care with caring adults who provide the stability and guidance they need to thrive. Heart Gallery Alabama connects teenagers with Mentors and recruits potential families for their adoption. Through their traveling portrait exhibit and online gallery, they help introduce communities to the youth who are served. The IPC Foundation proudly supports Heart Gallery Alabama.

IPC will journey to Chiapas, Mexico, May 27 - June 3, 2023

On Sunday, May 28, IPC will have one worship service at 10 am in the Sanctuary with no Sunday School or Table Worship. On Monday, May 29, church offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.

Join the Lunch Bunch crew for a great meal and fellowship at Bricktops on Highway 280. We will meet at the restaurant at 11:30. This is a self-pay event but please register below so we will have an accurate headcount. Hope you will join us!

The Children's Fresh Air Farm and Parenting Sub Committees invite you to the Children's Fresh Air Farm. Gather at the Farm for an evening of swimming, fellowship, dinner, and fun for the whole family! We will enjoy pool fun, a bouncy house & slide, hamburger or hot dog dinner, and the Kona Ice truck!

Nominate IPC members to serve as Elders and Deacons in the classes of 2026, trustees to serve on the IPC Foundation, two congregants to serve as members at large on the Representative Nominating Committee, and the vice president of the congregation (who will become president in 2025). The deadline to nominate is June 1.

Registration is closed for IPC's 2023 BTMP. Details for those already registered are below.
- June 5-9 (Monday-Friday) from 8:30am-2pm (OR for bus riders 8am to 2:30pm)
- BTMP is for children who have completed Kindergarten-5th grade (IPC Day School Top Dogs can choose to do either VBS or BTMP or both)
- BTMP Tribal Assistants are for youth who have completed 6th - 12th grade
- All parents must complete the Ministry Participant Form for their child to attend

Through a partnership with the Society of St. Andrew (SoSA) Alabama Gleaning Network, IPC members have an opportunity to help reduce food waste while providing for our neighbors in need. SoSA needs volunteers at the Pepper Place Farmers' Market each Saturday in the summer to gather, weigh, and organize leftover produce from the farmers at the end of the market.

This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity! At least six (6) volunteers are needed each Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm. IPC dates for this opportunity will be June 17, July 15, and July 29. We would like to staff all volunteer positions on those dates with IPC members.

About Presbyterian Ministries United Appeal (PMUA): PMUA exists to glorify God by raising funds for the benevolence activities of IPC, The Presbyterian Homes of Birmingham (Kirkwood), and Living River. Money raised is divided equally amongst the three organizations, supporting IPC’s Social Services, Kirkwood’s Life Care Fund, and Living River’s Scholarship Fund. The appeal is governed by a board of directors from the three organizations and is led this year by Sandy Bean, Jim Snow, Denise Moore, Margaret Brunstad, Matt Lyons, William Widman, and Sarah Sexton.

Volunteer with your family or a group to provide evening meals for the women and children staying at First Light. IPC will be providing evening meals each night for the week of June 18 - 24.

An extra special "Donuts with Dad" will be held on Sunday, June 18 at IPC. The Heavenly Donut Food Truck will park on Highland Avenue to treat all of fathers of our congregation. Donuts, coffee, and soft drinks available for all from 8:30-10 am.

Church offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.

We are back this month with Beer & Hymns at Iron City. Join your IPC friends and meet new ones. Beer & Hymns is exactly what it sounds like. We sing old-timey hymns (plus a few new ones) while enjoying good food and beverages. Doors are open from 6 - 8 pm, and music begins at 7 pm.

Join IPC and Presbytery members on Saturday, June 24, for a day of fellowship, learning, serving, and worship with the United Presbyterians of Wilcox County. Participants must be at least 18 years old. Please register ($10) for the trip by June 16.

On Sunday, July 2, IPC will have one worship service at 10 am in the Sanctuary with no Sunday School or Table Worship. On Tuesday, July 4, church offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.

IPC will hold one worship service at 10 am on Sunday, Sept 3. Church offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 4.
