IPC Sanctuary & Great Hall

IPC is hosting the week-long festival "God's Blessings in Color and Light," which includes lectures, concerts, and more. The Fine Arts Committee offers these programs as a gift to the community and encourages you to invite your friends. All events are free with the exception of the Monday lunch and the Thursday banquet which both require reservations.

Kirkwood by the River

Kids K-6 are invited to join us for hot chocolate and Bingo with members of the senior living community at Kirkwood by the River.
The event lasts from 2:00-3:30 PM. Feel free to stay with your child or drop them off with us.

Youth Room

Youth Mid-Week meetup is back Wednesday, February 1 - March 15! From 5:30-7 pm, IPC youth will meet in the main church building youth room and work to plan for Youth Sunday on March 19. Bring $5 for dinner.

Volunteer with your family or a group to provide evening meals for the women and children staying at First Light. IPC will be providing evening meals each night for the week of Feb. 5 -11.

This year’s Mercedes Marathon will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12, and the race route again includes Highland Avenue in front of IPC. Due to the planned road closures surrounding the church throughout the morning, our one worship service will be the in the sanctuary at 4 pm.
IPC will serve as an official water station for the Mercedes Marathon on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Volunteers are needed from 6 am through noon to help serve water in front of the church and cheer for the runners.

Join us for a longstanding IPC tradition and show your support for Boy Scout Troop 28 at the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper! Dinner includes pancakes with syrup, patty sausage, fruit and milk or orange juice. Funds raised go towards Troop 28 activities like overnight camping trips, Scout camp in the summer, and Adventure trips for the older Scouts!

The 2023 Lenten Grace Groups will study Final Words from the Cross by Adam Hamilton, looking at the seven statements Jesus made from the cross, which will take groups into a deeper experience of the season of Lent and of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the world.

Living River

The presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley youth council is hosting a presbytery retreat February 24-26 at Living River! Living River is our presbytery's camp located about an hour south of IPC. We will depart from IPC 6:30pm Friday (2/24) morning and return Sunday (2/26) between 11:30-12:00pm.

Children's Fresh Air Farm

Join us February 24th-25th for an overnight retreat for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders at the Children's Fresh Air Farm. Drop off at Children's Fresh Air Farm at 5:00 PM on the 24th. Pickup is at 1:00 PM on the 25th. On Sunday, February 26th, 4th Graders will be recognized in the 11:00 service and presented with a Bible.
The retreat's theme will be focusing on "Bible Basics," discussing the history of the Bible, how to read the Bible and engage with it meaningfully, the books of the Bible, and prayer life. The weekend will also be full of fellowship with time for games, playing outside, and s'mores around the campfire.

IPC is excited to have Rev. Dr. Tom Tewell join us from Claremont, CA as a guest preacher. Rev. Dr. Tewell has loved being pastor of four wonderful congregations during his forty years in pastoral ministry, but in this current chapter of life, he thoroughly enjoys being a pastor to pastors, a guest preacher, a consultant to churches…and, most of all, a husband, dad, and granddad.

On May 14th, we will have CFAF appeal Sunday at IPC and celebrate Bibletimes by sharing a 100 year birthday cake after worship. You can wear your old Bibletimes t-shirt to church, or buy a new Centennial t-shirt to wear this Spring. I hope you will join us!
