Dear Church Family,
As we reflect on the past year and look forward to the future, I am reminded of the many blessings our church has brought into my family’s life. In the last 12 months, we have had a Day School graduation, helped with the Crop Drop, had a blast at Kids Rock and the spring musical, and attended numerous worship services and Sunday school classes. None of that would have been possible without the hard work and talent of our IPC staff and the generosity of our members. On behalf of the Stewardship Committee, I invite you to prayerfully consider pledging to the church. Your support enables us to sustain these wonderful ministries, initiate others, and continue to give back to our community.
HOW: We have several ways to make or renew your pledge this year, including through the mail, online, or via text. As a church, we are living out the call to give because giving is a part of our identity as followers of Jesus. Your pledge to IPC becomes an essential part of Christ’s mission in our Family of Faith, the community, the world, and the future of the church.
WHEN: Our church is alive with energy, and now is the time to pledge to keep building on this positive momentum. In 2024, over 200 adults have deepened their faith through joining a Grace Group, and more than 300 children and youth participated in summer events and programming. This year’s “Home on Highland” kickoff event was a success, leading to our Adult Sunday School classes expanding and multiplying. Your generosity allows these essential ministries to continue and deepen their impact on our members.
WHY: As we look to the future, we remain committed to being a church that gives boldly and faithfully. We are moving closer to our goal of becoming a tithing church, giving away 10% of what we receive in pledges to support missional efforts both locally and globally. This vision for the future is essential to ensuring IPC continues to provide the highest quality ministries for children, youth, and adults, and maintains our beautiful properties that serve as the heart of our church community. Your support also ensures we can take care of our dedicated church staff who work tirelessly to make these ministries possible.
WHERE: Our giving extends far beyond ourselves, touching the lives of people we may never meet but are called to love. Through IPC’s multi-layered food ministry and Social Services, Children’s Fresh Air Farm, and Homelessness and Housing programs, we continue to meet needs, feed the hungry, and provide hope, encouragement and opportunity for our neighbors who need it most, all because of the generosity of people like you. IPC is also making a difference in the world, including sending 28 members on mission journeys in 2024 to be the hands and feet of Christ in places like Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Malawi, Kenya, and Zambia.
Will you consider increasing your pledge 10% or 5% this year to help us continue this mission? In a time of rising costs, your generosity will allow us to meet these challenges head-on and grow IPC’s impact even further. Our goal is to reach $3.45 million in pledges for 2025.
Jesus reminds us in Matthew 10:8, “Freely you have received; freely give.” As we reflect on how much we have been blessed, let us respond by giving generously of our time, talents, and treasure to continue Christ’s mission in the world because that is what we do as Christians: We give.
