Make a Difference During Advent

IPC warmly invites you to embrace the Advent season and enjoy all the wonderful ways you can get involved.

Find meaningful gifts for your family and friends or events that make a difference in our church and community. On select Sunday mornings during the Advent Season, items noted will be available for purchase in the IPC Parlor.

The Season of Giving

This opportunity to offer an alternative Christmas gift will be available December 1 through December 22. Through a donation to the Giving Tree, you can honor a family member, friend, teacher, or coworker with a gift made in their name to IPC Social Services and/or the Children’s Fresh Air Farm. A $10 donation per card is suggested, but all donations are accepted to help our neighbors who are struggling with food, shelter, utilities, transportation, and medical needs, as well as the children and families that benefit from our services at CFAF.

Cards to share with your loved one can be picked up in the Parlor on Sundays and during church office hours from Catherine Sager in the Community Ministries Suite. Join us in giving your loved one a special gift of love, compassion, and generosity this Advent season.

Looking for meaningful gifts this season? Our IPC Youth are offering holiday cookbooks filled with recipes from our congregation ($25), along with ornaments and sweatshirts. You can pick up or purchase items at the reception desk during the week, shop online, or find the Youth table in the Parlor on December 7, 14, and 21. Online order form coming soon!

Gifts are due Wednesday, December 10

Thank you for helping us spread Christmas cheer for students in the Children’s Fresh Air Farm Summer Learning Program! More than 130 angels have been taken this year. Please remember that all gifts are due by Wednesday, Dec. 10, unwrapped but accompanied by a roll of wrapping paper. For questions or to learn other ways to support our students, contact Marion Dukes at (205) 623-2187 or mdukes@ipc-usa.org with any questions.

IPC Boy Scout Troop 28 is selling Christmas greenery at the lot located at Shades Cahaba Elementary School in Homewood. All sales will benefit Troop 28 and other area Boy Scout troops, regardless of when you purchase the greenery.

Additionally, all are invited to the Scout Hut for the Troop 28 Open House on Sunday, December 14 after the 11 am worship service.
