Little Geniuses Chess is offered as a before school enrichment opportunity for Three-Year-Olds, Four-Year-Olds and Five-Year-Olds. Little Geniuses meets on Thursdays. Led by David Brooks, The Knight School--the super-high-energy chess network introduces developmentally and cleverly targeted classes to promote a love of learning, to teach children they are unspeakably smart, and learn how to absolutely cream their parents in chess! The Knight School is not just this year's and last year's Alabama State Chess Champions for both K-3 and 4-6; they are also the most compelling, kid-centered chess party ever conceived.

Music Makers combines both music and drama, giving each student a chance to express themselves while having a whole lot of fun! Music Makers is offered as an after school enrichment opportunity for children enrolled in Three-Year-Olds, Four-Year-Olds and Five-Year-Olds on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Music Makers at IPC began in 2000 as an after school class led by Jill Marlar and over the years became Showstoppers. Music Makers is a combination of both class types and promises to deliver smiles each week as your child embarks on a musical and dramatic journey filled with exploration. Curriculum will consist of an integrated study of music terms, rhythm, singing, instruments meshed with simple dramatic lessons like improvisation, storytelling, and basic acting skills. A showcase performance will be toward the end of each semester. Class meets in the day school music room. Curriculum designed by Jill Marlar and led by 3’s teacher Kate Waters.

Play Pals is offered as a before and/or after school enrichment opportunity for all children each school day. Play Pals is led by Chrystal Kracke. Children can enroll for the entire session or children may attend on a “drop-in” basis. “Drop-ins” may be limited and must be arranged through the Day School office the day prior to attendance. Children will experience free play in a fun environment.

Soccer Shots is offered as a before school enrichment opportunity for children enrolled in Three-Year-Olds, Four-Year-Olds and Five-Year-Olds on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Soccer Shots is led by Jason Kendall, John Stagni and Jacob Chambliss who believe that athletic involvement encourages self-discipline, social interaction and better fitness habits. They also find great importance in providing positive role models and character development for children. Having played or been involved with sports since a young age, they found the Soccer Shots Organization to be a great way to get children involved with a sport that they not only love, but believe to be the best sport for fitness development for our youth. Aces and Birdies is offered as an after school enrichment opportunity for children enrolled in Three-Year-Olds, Four-Year-Olds and Five-Year-Olds on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. "Teaching Kids lifelong Sports" in this program children will spend 30 minutes learning tennis skills, and 30 minutes learning golf. We believe these two lifelong sports will stick with your children forever. All equipment is provided and age appropriate.
